The treatment significantly increases the level of cellular
activity which in turn increases the rate of collagen production
that has the effect of reducing the incidence of chronic degeneration, the major cause of injury. Also promoting a quicker repair in tendons
that are damaged. In addition, the repair tissue is the same
type as the original tendon tissue (a type 1 collagen) not a scar-type
repair (type III collagen as normally happens with other treatments)
so reducing the chance of re-injury.
